Thesis work in Physics & Simulation
Games live or die by how their worlds feel - and physics simulation is at the heart of that. At Embark we work on problems that sit at the intersection of real-time performance and physical accuracy, and we’re looking for thesis students who want to push that further.
As a thesis worker you would explore how new simulation techniques can make our game worlds more dynamic, responsive, and believable - in ARC Raiders and THE FINALS, or in upcoming projects. Areas of interest include rigid and soft body dynamics, character physics, destruction simulation, and physics-informed machine learning, but bring your own ideas too.
What we offer
A dedicated internal supervisor with deep domain knowledge
Access to real production problems across our live games
The chance to contribute to research that ships in real games
How to apply
We don’t need a finished proposal. Tell us what you want to explore and why it matters — we’ll take it from there and shape the project together.
