Thesis work in Rendering
Real-time rendering is one of the hardest and most exciting problems in computer science - and games are where that boundary gets pushed furthest. At Embark, rendering is a core research area, and our work ships in live titles played by millions.
As a thesis worker in our Rendering group you would explore how new techniques can push visual fidelity, performance, or expressiveness in our live games - ARC Raiders and THE FINALS - or in upcoming projects. Potential areas include global illumination, real-time ray tracing, procedural generation, and neural rendering, but if you have a compelling angle, pitch it to us.
What we offer
A dedicated internal supervisor with deep domain knowledge
Access to real production problems across our live games
The chance to contribute to research that ships in real games
How to apply
We don’t need a finished proposal. Tell us what you want to explore and why it matters - we’ll take it from there and shape the project together.
